The NANOMED EMJMD was delighted to welcome Prof. Géraldine Piel, from the University of Liège (Belgium) for its 2-week Summer School in July 2018!
Géraldine Piel graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1993 at the University of Liège in Belgium where she obtained her PhD in 2000.
In 2003, she did a posdoctoral stay in the Institut Galien (University of Paris-Sud, Chatenay Malabry) where she learnt liposome formulation with the team of Professor Elias Fattal.
She is currently assuming both the role of professor in the laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy and of vice-president of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Medicine at the University of Liege.
Her team research focuses on the development of liposomes drug delivery formulations for different administration route.
Professor Piel’s expertise certainly gave food for thought to our students who enjoyed very much the lessons she gave them!
