The NANOMED EMJMD was delighted to welcome Prof. Alexander Florence for a 2-week course to bring new insight to our students on drug delivery and nanomedicine!
Prof. Florence graduated BSc (Pharmacy) with first class honours from the University of Glasgow in 1962, then in 1965 PhD and in 1984 DSc from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
From 1975, he was Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Strathclyde and from 1989-2006 was Dean of The School of Pharmacy, University of London (now the UCL School of Pharmacy).
In 1990 he founded with Prof. Gregory Gregoriadis the Centre for Drug Delivery Research in London.
