The NANOMED EMJMD has had the pleasure to welcome Prof. David Stepensky for a privileged 2-week course on the biofate of nano-drug delivery systems at the University of Pavia!
During his PhD, Prof. David Stepensky studied at the Department of Pharmaceutics, School of Pharmacy, of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He graduated in 2002 with honours and he currently holds a position of Associate Professor at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel.
Prof. Stepensky gave lectures on the disposition and targeting of nano-formulations that were accompanied by discussion with the students of specific nano-formulations, of their targeting efficiency, and of its pre-clinical and clinical implications. The course programme was also accompanied by an additional 6-hours seminar on critical reading of scientific papers and tips on scientific writing.
Our students really appreciated Prof. Stepensky’s involvement in the EMJMD; his lessons were interactive, promoting student discussion.
